Social Fellowship Vs. Social Media

Together, amongst fellow believers, are redefining social media completely! Scrap the old ways completely! No more posting for the likes, follows, shares, and comments! No more posting filtered selfies on our profile. More friends/followers does not give us notoriety or unlock features. No more advertisements. No data farming of any kind which means no selling consumer information. No more simple signups.

The owners of this platform are at a capped monthly salary paying no more than their best weeks in the oilfield, so no one is getting wealthy off the backs of hard working members of this platform. Because this platform does not have a physical building and other expenses to maintain, the profits gained go back into the mission as a whole where every member of the platform (you) vote on how the profits are used and distributed.

In the 20+ years from the birth of the internet we still only use an e-mail address to verify user accounts on public platforms giving absolutely zero accountability behind every account created which should scare the hell out of you. It’s time we, as the body of Jesus Christ, rise up and not only challenge the status quo, but completely raise the bar and set the highest standard in an applicable and practical fashion for at the very least have a sense of safety, accountability, and belonging as we interact in an online public platform.

We as believers need to be counted as such and drop one of your video streaming services and add a $12.00 a month monthly membership to a platform that develops, curates, and nurtures fellowship. That $12.00 a month will help pay for a VPN service, web traffic and bandwidth, and the very organization that on-boarded your account. We cannot assume something great will come along and be free, if you have already abandoned a streaming service and cannot afford $12.00 a month, Birdsoverbox will work with you!

Our vision within this platform is to enable fellowship 24 hours a day 7 days a week that help each other abstain from sin through faith and create teams based on personal shared interests and may go as far as creating main teams that acknowledge the sin we struggle against to align other members with a common enemy sharing strategies and means to help defeat it. No longer are we limited to meeting and interacting with each other based on the confines of any one church organization and their limited resources, but rather, finding each other based on our shared interests, our individual needs, and desire for fellowship.

While there is so much that is not being said in this post, I hope this gives you a good idea what may truly be needed in modern society. Fellowship is instructional as we read in 1 John 1:7 7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin. We read this where the commas are placed and is instructional to maintaining the walk in the light with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
